NOTICE: By default it is not possible to use the same username across PS3 and RPCS3 to play WipEout HD. If you would like to share the same account across both platforms you must Direct Message @chacheechoo on Discord to request whitelisting.

PLAYSTATION® 3 Setup Guide

Thallium setup for PS3

This process won't take longer than a minute.

  • Go to the Settings tab in the XMB
  • Go down to Network Settings
  • Pick Internet Connection Settings
  • Confirm to start configuring
  • On the Select a setting method screen, pick Custom
  • Continue the setup according to your preference, picking the default options whenever you are unsure until you reach the DNS Setting screen
  • Select Manual
  • Set Primary DNS to 147.135.213.57
  • and the Secondary DNS to 1.1.1.1
  • Continue the setup as before and save your settings
  • Testing connection is optional
  • You should be done

RPCS3 Setup Guide

Thallium setup for RPCS3

To connect to Thallium, you must first update WipEout HD to version 2.51 if you haven't done so already. Below are the official update downloads for common Title ID's (hosted on Sony's HTTP server):

PS VITA®

PlayStation® Vita Setup Guide

Thallium+Beat setup for PS Vita

To connect to Thallium/Beat using a Vita:

  • Go to Settings
  • Select Network
  • Select Wi-Fi Settings
  • Pick your desired network
  • Pick Advanced Settings
  • Set DNS Settings to Manual
  • Set Primary DNS to 147.135.213.57
  • and the Secondary DNS to 1.1.1.1
  • Click OK
  • Quit Settings
  • You should be done
  • Note that the Online Pass is required to play 2048 online

You should be able to play WipEout Pulse and MotorStorm Arctic Edge online through Adrenaline now; if not, follow the PSP system setup guide through Adrenaline's XMB

Warning

NOTICE: If you had previously played WipEout HD online using the RPCS3 emulator and would like to use the same username on WipEout 2048, you must request account whitelisting by Direct Messaging @chacheechoo on Discord.

Vita3k does not have PSN emulation support, therefore it cannot be used to play WipEout 2048 online.
PSP®/PPSSPP

PlayStation®Portable Setup Guide

Thallium+Beat setup for PSP

To connect your PSP to your Wi-Fi network, you can either install the wpa2psp plugin, install/update ARK-4 CFW (which will include wpa2psp), or figure it out yourself.

You must be on firmware version 6.61 and signed into PlayStation Network on your PSP to play online.

Once you can connect to a Wi-Fi network,
  • Go to the Settings tab in the XMB
  • Pick Infrastructure Mode
  • Select a connection to edit or make a new one
  • Continue the network setup until you reach DNS Settings
  • Pick Manual
  • Set Primary DNS to 147.135.213.57
  • and the Secondary DNS to 1.1.1.1
  • Continue the setup according to your liking
  • Testing connection is optional
  • You should be done

For ease of use, when you are in-game, go to Multiplayer -> Online Account and enable Auto-Login (WipEout Pulse only)

PPSSPP Setup Guide

Thallium+Beat setup for PPSSPP

PPSSPP versions 1.19 and above connect to WipEout Pulse and MotorStorm Arctic Edge online automatically!

  • Check Settings -> Networking -> (Networking category) -> Enable networking/WLAN
  • Confirm your username in Settings -> Networking -> (Infrastructure category) -> Username
  • You should be done

If you're having trouble connecting, try disabling Settings -> Networking -> (Infrastructure category) -> Autoconfigure and setting the DNS server value to 147.135.213.57

WipEout Pulse Custom Skin Guide

Making a WipEout Pulse custom skin

Beat supports the WipEout Pulse custom ship skins feature. With it, you can create a custom ship skin and bring it online!
To create a custom WipEout Pulse ship skin:

  • Download Thomas Perl's (aka thp) shipedit utility to create your skin, available for Linux and Windows
  • Export your custom skin
  • Send @chacheechoo the following information in Discord DM's:
    • The "16034453" file in the exported skin's folder;
    • Your PSN/PPSSPP Username;
    • The slot that you want to use (0-4);
    • The name of your custom skin;
    • Whether or not you would like the skin to be potentially publicly available to other players in the future
    • Note that your skin may take a while to be patched, or we could refuse to patch it
  • You will be given a patched skin - unpack the archive and put the UCES00465DTEAMSKIN000X folder in [PSP storage root]/PSP/SAVEDATA/
  • Check that the [Multiplayer...] -> [Online Account] -> [Ship Skins] option is on
  • You should be done

    • We are not responsible for any issues that may arise when using custom skins on any platform

Console Setup Guide

Ad Hoc setup for PSP/PS Vita

Playing WipEout Pure online on a console requires it to already be jailbroken.
This method of playing WipEout Pure isn't supported on PSP 1000 and E1000 (Street) consoles.

Once your console is jailbroken, follow the guide that's appropriate for your system: After you're done, edit the "server.txt" file in the "seplugins" folder and replace "socom.cc" with "agracingfoundation.org".

When you start the game, pressing the PS/Home button should bring up the PRO Online menu. If the menu doesn't show up, the plugin isn't being loaded properly. Confirm that:
  • You've followed the guide properly;
  • You're using an ISO copy of the game. The digital (EBOOT.PBP) version isn't supported.

PPSSPP Setup Guide

Ad Hoc setup for PPSSPP

To play WipEout Pure online, you must be using PPSSPP v1.20 or newer.

  • Enable Settings -> Networking -> (Networking category) -> Enable networking/WLAN
  • Click on Settings -> Networking -> (Ad Hoc multiplayer category) -> Change PRO ad hoc server IP address and press Add server
    • Set Hostname to agracingfoundation.org
    • Make sure Relay server mode is enabled
  • Set Settings -> Networking -> (Miscellaneous) -> Port offset to 10000

It is also recommended to change your Nickname in Settings -> Networking -> (Ad hoc multiplayer category) -> Change nickname to be easily identifiable on the Ad Hoc status page.

About Us

Who are we?

The Antigravity Racing Foundation is a passionate community of people that love the WipEout video game series. We began public operation on March 2nd, 2024, when we started inviting people to our Discord server.

The community was co-founded by ThatOneBonk and ChaCheeChoo. The former handles community affairs, promotion, various graphics, miscellaneous programming and formal writing; the latter is the talented developer who made Thallium+Beat.

The point of AGRF was to unify the people and create a place where Thallium+Beat players could organize and meet, but it exceeded that original purpose, thanks to the countless people who have contributed to AGRF and to keeping the game alive. These people organized in-game and real life events, gave feedback, inspired, played, talked and welcomed AGRF's way into being the WipEout community to be in.
